Using projection mapping, I wanted to create a looping motion graphic piece shown outside of normal displays (tv, web, etc). While the imagery was non-sensical, it was created to show the possibility of what an ordinary white box could contain.

Using a pre-existing piece of audio we were asked to create a dynamic typography animation. By happenstance, I came across an interview with motivation speaker, Joel Bauer. The audio was very interesting and I decided to play off the confidence he had in his business card in this piece.

This quick turn around piece, which had a production schedule of one week, was a reinterpretation of the original PSA by Simon Robson aka "Knife Party". Using only the audio from the original commercial, we were asked to create a new version of the piece emphasizing dynamic type. After quickly creating full boards and animatics, we were asked to move into production with only two days to animate.

The R3 Project was an entry into the R3 sustainability festival. The idea was to communicate the need to find a sustainable and reusable environmental solution within our daily lives. Using motion tracking I replaced signage with disturbing environmental facts, urging the audience to take action.

I've always been interested in the workings of humor and wanted to see what role it can play in visual and motion media. Based on my research, I created a short 30 second animation to explain an excerpt of my findings. The role of this motion test was two-fold: to create a visually interesting, content driven animation and to educate the audience. It is my thought that humor can not only be used to connect to the audience quickly, but can make them remember information long after the animation has passed.

While at Primal Screen I had the opportunity to design and animate this piece for TruTv. While previous "Real Story" spots had set the tone for the design, we were challenged to create a fun and entertaining way to communicate the history of Wendy's.

While at Primal Screen I had the opportunity to work on the electronic signage found at the Museum of Design Atlanta. Besides being responsible for updating exhibit information, Primal Screen also creates motion transitions to bookend the monitors' content. Not only did I have the privilege to work on one of these transitions, but it also taught me a great deal about animating for multi-screen displays.
